     Cultural China: a website initiated by the Shanghai News and Press Bureau to promote the culture of China from ancient history to modern day.

     Chinese Fashion: A site that describes tips to China's fashion and why they would wear it depending on age and etc. The website has very informational paragraphs that show you the basics of China's fashion.

     Chinese-Style Clothing: Describes in detail some trends in that are popular in China. Has pictures that match what they are talking about. Easy to use and find reliable information.

     Chinese Art Summary Describes aspects of Chinese Art forms in detail from ancient history to modern day. May be useful for other topics as well.

Cultural Revolution in China

The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in China: A easy to read site created by the San Jose State University Dept. of Economics on the 1966-1976 cultural revolution  

"Modern Nations of The World: China" By: Robert Green; This book was extremely helpful in our research of the Cultural Revolution. It contained in depth sections about what the revolution was about and how it lead China to a period of chaos. It also had a lot of good information on little "tid bids" such as the little red book, and things that lead up to the Cultural Revolution. We would recommend this book to anyone who is researching this topic.

Modern Treatment of Women

  Women's Rights and Family Planning: RH Reality Check, an organization promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights discusses current concerns about women and families in China

  Women in China:  Facts and Details, a great website which separates information about the modern treatment of women in China into categories.  It describes feminism in China, as well as the continued traditional lifestyle in rural China.

Women of China: This website highlights current ongoing attempts to improve the treatment of women in China. Based off the All-China Women's Federation.

An article about common and uncommon crimes in China. There is also information about the police's role in fighting crime.
